Hatchet & Knife Throwing

Hatchet Throwing (shanaxwáayi yádi O-ka-S-ø-xeech) - Mostly used as tools for carving, these tools were a very important part of the Alaska indigenous peoples every day life and heritage.  Using modern day, perfectly balanced, versions of hatchets, test your hand eye coordination skills at regulation distances of 10 and 15 feet. Throwing 3 tomahawks at each station!  Just like the archery station, you can purchase additional tries if you need that satisfaction of a successful hit!

Knife Throwing (katltulítaa O-ka-S-ø-xeech) - Like virtually every culture on the planet, historically, the knife has been one of the most important every day tools for survival. This was no exception in Tlingit life. Throw three knives at each regulation distance of 10 and 16 feet. Like the other activities above, don’t worry if you miss! You can keep trying if you want to!

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a cell phone, our driver will call you when they arrive and if not, we will select a notable landmark in the city and pick you up at a prearranged time.

Our adventures typically last 1.5 to 2 hours--including pickup and drop off.

No sweat! Our range officers will walk you through a training and safety course.

Some benefits of axe throwing include: building muscle in your arms, core, hamstrings, and calves. It counts as cardio and it's a great self-defense tactic!

If the axe hits the target with its handle then there is a chance that it can and will bounce back towards the thrower. Throwing an axe takes careful consideration with the amount of strength put behind it because it can bounce back harder than you throw it.
